Texas A&M senior Derrick Roland had surgery Wednesday morning to repair his broken tibia and fibula in his right leg. Derrick Roland was injured in Tuesday night's game at Washington when he went up for a shot and landed awkwardly.
Roland underwent surgery at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and will have a rod placed in the leg.
"It went well and he is doing well," said his surgeon, Dr Turgeon, adding that Roland was finally resting.
